As an individual trying to find clearity and happiness in life, I have turned to the topic of Astrology, which as you know provides information to help understand life and our purpose using the universe and how it influences us. One specific form of Astrology of interest is Vedic Astrology. Orinigated many years ago in East India by the same brilliant minds that introduced yoga. Vedic Astrology is a healing system based on the planets and nature. It uses what are called the Vedas books of Acient India that are about 4,000 years old and cosidered the oldest sacred books of Hinduism.
I went ahead a did a Vedic Astrology reading and to my surprise it says that my Moon Nakshatra, or Star, is Sravana, meaning hearing. Vedic Astrology uses 27 distant stars because stars are important inspirational forces outside our solar systems and Indian astrologers used them to get deeper meanings, specially when it comes to relationship astrology.
The cool thing about this reading is that it tells you the meaing of your star, the mythology behind it, your strengths and your issues that surround you. My Sravana star is ruled by the Moon, meaning that my life is connected through my emotions. I have a willingness to help and nature others. Each star also has a God and for my star is Lord Vishnu, which is explained in the mythology section. I am not sure if I agree with the mythology, it says that Vishnu maintains the universe and that I to see into the deeper meaning. I don't consider myself that wise to know but those who know me could tell me if I do.
Compated to Western Astrology, Vedic Astrology is considered and practiced as a science in India, used as guide for many areas of life and respected professionally. For those who follow and need some healing and in need for deeper meaning, this can be a good tool. Let me know what your Vedic Astrology reading reveals!!!
p.s. for those who read last post, here is an update on my indoor soccer game. We lost 0-4, but it was our first game, I expect to report better scores!!
