Why remember 2008?


Well this year has definitely been

a surprising yet remarkable year.
Below is a list of reasons why I think we will or I should remember this year for a long time.

1. New media and social media were integrated as part of traditional marketing methods due to their successful perfomance this year.
2. I graduated college!
3. I studied abroad in europe!
4. The first African American candidate was elected president.
5. The first time a woman candidate ran for presidency.
6. The first time a woman candidate ran for vice presidency.
7. The stock market crashed and the goverment gave them $700B to bail them out, no questions asked.
8. I went back to Guatemala after 12 years.
9. I started looking for a career job.
10. My boyfriend officially became a fire fighter!
11. The US entered into a recession (some say).
12. The real estate market is crashing and foreclosures are off the roof, leaving thousands on people out of homes.
13. I bought a car!
14. I started this blog.
15. The auto industry is in bankruptcy, the goverment is planning on giving them $15B to bail them out too.
16. About 2 million lost their jobs as of the end of Novermber.
17. The L.A. Times and Tribune newspapers also file for bankruptcy and are asking the government for money.
18. I still haven't found a job.
19. One of my best friends from Serbia graduates this December.

I'm sure the list will continue but for now that is all I have.
